The REEP (Recovery of Expended Energy Power Production) Impact Generator is a patent-pending energy conversion device embedded within the road which generates alternative clean, renewable and low-cost energy from the vehicular traffic passing over it. It is a fully mechanical system activated by a collapsible plate on the road when a vehicle runs over it, which then activated the generator underneath the road. Essentially, the technology harvests wasted expended kinetic energy from these vehicles and convert it into electrical energy via this mechanical system – and subsequently connected to a substation for local on-site usage or to be fed into the grid.
Power Production
The power production capacity of this technology is phenomenal. 1 REEP Station with 12 REEP Generators has a capacity of producing 1MW of electricity. That is equivalent to providing power for 1800 houses.
Cost structure
The CAPEX & OPEX of this technology is significantly low at 25 times cheaper than solar. Based on the power production capacity against the CAPEX & OPEX of this technology, the expected ROI is within 1 year even at 30% power load capacity.
